Acoustic Sound Tube (So)(Nic Logging Pipe) is an indispensable acoustic detection pipe. The acoustic detection pipe can be used to determine the quality of a pile. It serves as the passage for the probe to enter the interior of the pile during ultrasonic detection of cast-in-place piles. It is an integral part of the ultrasonic detection system for cast-in-place piles, and its embedded method within the pile and its arrangement on the pile's cross-section directly affect the detection results. Therefore, the layout and embedding method of the acoustic detection pipe should be marked on the design drawings, and the quality of embedding, wall thickness, should be strictly controlled during construction to ensure the smooth progress of the detection work.

1. A practical approach is to use thick, long rebar to punch through the mud blocking the acoustic testing tube. This method is direct, quick, and effective, but it has its drawbacks. It cannot guarantee that the mud is completely cleared, and the acoustic testing tube that needs to be cleared must be a steel tube with a large outer diameter.
2. Drilling machines equipped with small drill bits for scanning holes. This method ensures targeted and thorough clearing without missing any spots, though it does require a bit more time. But it's worth the insurance.
3. Utilize a high-pressure water jet for internal pipeline cleaning. Typically, sludge merely adheres to the inner walls and cannot withstand the force of the high-pressure water stream. A 3 to 5-second blast at the clog will clear it. However, be sure to pay attention to the position and angle of the blast to prevent the sludge from flowing back.
Deformed acoustic pipe causing blockages poses significant difficulties for detection work, sometimes rendering it impossible. In the event that a blockage in the acoustic pipe is discovered during pre-concreting pile testing, effective measures should be taken to clear the pipe to ensure smooth ultrasonic testing. There are generally three methods for clearing the pipe: using thick, long rebar to poke through the acoustic pipe; using high-pressure water to flush the pipe clean; and using a drilling machine with a small drill bit for cleaning the borehole.
