Lotus Wang is a general term for the plants of the genus Victoria in the family Nymphaeaceae. These are large, floating-leaf herbaceous plants, either perennial or annual, with upright rhizome-like short stems and well-developed adventitious roots, which are white. They possess giant, unique, dish-like leaves that float on the water surface, creating a spectacular sight. They are also renowned for their variable and delicate flower colors and strong fragrance. They bloom in summer, singly, floating on the water, initially white, turning deep red the next day before wilting.

Native to the tropical regions of South America, primarily produced in countries like Brazil and Bolivia. Requires a high-temperature, high-humidity, and sunny environment for growth. Optimal growth temperature ranges from 25 to 35 degrees Celsius; below 20 degrees, the plants will stop growing.

These plants are tropical aquatic ornamental plants, featuring the largest leaves among aquatic plants worldwide, with a diameter exceeding 3 meters. The leaves are smooth with curled edges, resembling emerald green jade plates floating on the water surface. Due to their unique leaf vein structure, which is ribbed like an umbrella stand, they possess significant buoyancy and can support up to sixty or seventy kilograms without sinking.
