Artificial rockery, also known as plastic rockery, plastic artificial rockery, man-made rockery, hollow rockery, and so on, differs from the usual true stone construction. It features an internal hollow structure supported by angle steel, channel steel, square tubes, and other steel materials. The external surface is shaped with cement mixed with other special materials to create a stone texture. It is widely used in various park attractions, residential communities, indoor landscape spots, and other venues. Plastic stone can also be used to create scenic elements like stone plaques and sign stones. With the development of artificial rockery techniques, new processes and products like plastic stone sculptures and plastic wood replicas have emerged. The realism of artificial rockery depends on the skill level of the surface coating technique. To achieve realism, the craftsman's technique must be precise, and the stone surface must be meticulously textured with cracks and angles to give a lifelike texture. To create a highly realistic and aesthetically pleasing rockery, mere knowledge of these steps is insufficient; it requires the expertise of a rockery-making team. Nowadays, there are numerous rockery-making teams, but we are widely recognized as a high-value team in the industry.
1. Concrete Rockery Structure Construction Method: Foundation work, angle iron columns, angle iron flat beams, angle iron inclined beams welding, skeletal outer cover with reinforcing mesh, hang galvanized wire mesh on the reinforcing mesh, shape the rockery with 1:1.5 cement mortar, craftsperson carefully crafts stone textures and peaks or patterns according to the effect drawing. After successful shaping, treat the shaped surface with a base layer, then apply three coats of rockery polymer exterior paint. For scenes with stones less than 1000MM in height, no angle iron frame is needed; instead, use reinforcing mesh directly, hang galvanized wire mesh, and then proceed with the shaping of the rockery.
2. Craftsmanship of Artificial Rockery Made of Cement: As per the renderings, the mountain shapes are molded using cement mortar, creating a false mountain with units such as peaks, ridges, platforms, ridges, cliffs, rocks, valleys, caves, dams, etc., combined together. Utilizing the fifteen-character slogan in the construction process of the artificial rockery, namely "install, connect, join, fight, slingshot, match, hang, sword, lock, dangle, pick, arch, support, carry, and prop", various construction methods are employed to build the stone structure of the artificial rockery.
3. Artificial Rockery Color Spraying: The arrangement of rock colors is also important in creating a mountainous landscape. For the lower rocks in a single artificial mountain, a deeper color should be applied. For the upper rocks, a lighter color is preferable. For concave areas, a deeper color is used, while for protruding areas, a lighter color is chosen. Of course, the overall color scheme should be balanced and not overly chaotic. Color spraying is a finishing touch for the rockery and a crucial aspect of the construction that affects its overall appearance.
