Edge protection is required for foundation pit construction, and the foundation pit guardrail ensures this. Before using the foundation pit guardrail, it is necessary to understand the material requirements of the foundation pit guardrail:

1. The surface of the steel pipe should be straight and smooth, without cracks, scars, delamination, misalignment, hard bending, burrs, indentations, and deep scratches.

2. Before using the steel pipe for the foundation pit guardrail, its wall thickness should be randomly inspected, with a sampling ratio of not less than 30%. If the reduction in wall thickness exceeds 10%, it should be scrapped, and if the unqualified ratio is greater than 30%, the sampling ratio should be expanded.  

3. Steel pipes need to undergo rust prevention treatment.

4. The fasteners of the foundation pit guardrail need to be inspected before use. Those with cracks or deformations are strictly prohibited from use, and bolts with scratches need to be replaced.

5. Rust prevention treatment should be carried out on the fasteners before use.
