Work arrangement before and after installation of rubber bearings

a: Installation preparation

a. It is recommended to install a supporting pad stone at the installation site of the plate type rubber bearing. The size of the supporting pad stone plane should be determined based on local pressure calculation. The length and width of the pad stone should be at least 50mm larger than the corresponding size of the bearing, and its height should be above 100mm. The installation position of the jack should also be considered for the convenience of replacing the top beam of the bearing.

a. Steel mesh should be arranged inside the 2 bearing pad stones. When the diameter of the steel bars is 8mm, the spacing should be 50mm × 50mm. Vertical steel bars should extend into the bearing pad stones inside the bridge piers and abutments. The concrete strength grade of the bearing pad stones should not be lower than C30.

a. The surface of the support pad stone should be flat, clean, dry, and free of floating sand. The top elevation of the bearing pad stone should be accurate and correct. In the case of a flat slope, the supporting pad stones at both ends of the same beam and the supporting pad stones on the same bridge pier and abutment should be in the same design elevation plane, and their relative height difference should not exceed ± 1.5 mm. The height difference of the supporting pad stones should be less than 0.5 mm.

b: Support installation

b. After the support enters the site, it should be checked whether there is the manufacturer's trademark or permanent mark on the support. During installation, the centerline of the support position should be marked on both the support pad stone and the support according to the design drawings to ensure accurate positioning of the support.

b. When installing two supports, precautions should be taken to prevent bias or excessive initial shear deformation of the supports. After installation, it is necessary to ensure that the support is in close contact with the upper and lower structures, and there should be no looseness. For beam and slab structures that have not formed a whole, heavy vehicles should be avoided from passing through.

b. The design of bridge piers and abutments should consider the need for support maintenance and replacement. Under no circumstances shall two or more supports be installed side by side along the longitudinal centerline of the beam at the same support point; It is not advisable to set more than two supports horizontally on the same beam (slab); Bearings of different specifications should not be installed side by side.

b. After the installation of the four supports, a comprehensive inspection should be carried out to ensure that there are no missing supports, whether the installation direction and position of the supports (contact with the embedded steel plate, centerline position of the supports), whether the specifications and models of the supports are correct, whether the temporary fixing facilities have been removed, and whether the PTFE sliding plate supports have been injected with silicone grease oil (it is strictly prohibited to use lubricating oil instead of silicone grease oil). Once discovered, timely adjustment and handling should be carried out to ensure the normal operation of the supports after installation, and all deviations and abnormal situations that occur after the installation of the supports should be recorded.

b. The average compressive stress during the use stage of 5 supports is σ c=10MPa. The volume of the rubber elastic body of the support is Eb=2000MPa.

When the support comes into contact with concrete, the friction coefficient μ=0.3; When in contact with steel plates, the friction coefficient μ=0.2; The friction coefficient between polytetrafluoroethylene plate and stainless steel plate (with silicone grease added) is 0.06 μ f. When the temperature is below -25 ℃, the μ f value increases by 30%. When silicone grease is not added, the μ f value should be doubled.

b. When installing rectangular supports, place them along the bridge direction with the short side dimension.
