Applications of Green Geotextiles, Categorized by Usage Function

1. Drainage and Anti-Filtering Green Geotextile: The green geotextile allows the passage of water and gases vertically while retaining the soil framework particles from leaching, with some geotextiles also serving as lateral drainage channels. Drainage and anti-filtering geotextiles are primarily used in engineering applications such as slope protection, retaining walls, or revetments, including anti-filtering layers, drainage culverts, and soft foundation treatments. They act as the outer material for geosynthetic filter layers, sack-filled sand and gravel anti-filtering layers, flexible drainage pipes, plastic drainage strips, sack-filled sand wells, or composite geomembranes.

2.裹包型Green Geotextile: Green geotextile serves as a wrapper for loose soil, sand, and gravel or as a carrier for concrete and mortar, forming block-like structures of certain volume and shape, used for slope protection, erosion protection, and other engineering projects. The main products of wrapped geotextile include geotextile bags, geotextile sack bags, and geotextile tube bags, etc. The geotextile used in sack-filled sand-gravel filter layers and sack-filled sand wells all have the function of wrapping.

3. Isolation Green Geotextile: The green geotextile is laid between different mediums to prevent mixing of adjacent materials. Isolation geotextile is primarily used for separating fill materials of different particle sizes in embankments or to place geotextile on the surface of soft soil to avoid clogging of the upper drainage mat.

4. Reinforced Green Geotextile: The geotextile with certain tensile strength is buried in the soil mass, relying on its interaction with the soil interface to enhance soil strength and stability, and prevent soil erosion.
