Pigment Carbon Black

Color carbon black can be selected based on coloring characteristics or physical properties. The choice of the type of carbon black for coloring is primarily determined by the required darkness of the finished product. Very fine color carbon black can achieve high darkness requirements for coloring; products like PE garbage bags, plastic bags, and cable materials, which only require a moderate level of darkness, can use carbon black varieties with lower specific surface area and higher structure. In plastic color matching, minor errors in the measurement and blending of carbon black can lead to significant color differences, so it is advisable to use larger particle size, lower coloring strength low color carbon black. This allows for a slightly higher amount of carbon black to be used, with relative smaller measurement errors, and has the advantages of better dispersibility and lower cost. For gray plastics, fine particle color carbon black often results in a brownish gray, while coarse particle color carbon black can produce a bluish gray.
