High-efficiency sedimentation tanks are structures used to remove suspended solids from water through sedimentation, serving as equipment for water purification. They utilize the natural sedimentation or coagulation sedimentation of water to remove suspended particles. Sedimentation tanks are categorized into horizontal and vertical tanks based on the direction of water flow. The sedimentation efficiency depends on the water velocity within the tank and the time water remains in the tank. To enhance sedimentation efficiency and minimize land usage, honeycomb inclined plate crossflow sedimentation tanks, rapid clarification tanks, and pulsating clarification tanks are commonly employed. Sedimentation tanks are widely used in wastewater treatment. Considering the flocculation factors during particle sedimentation, assuming the settling velocity of particles changes uniformly with acceleration, and setting the initial settling velocity to zero. Taking into account the velocity distribution within the pipe, the length of the inclined tube is given by: -d * tanθ, where a is the acceleration of particle settling velocity change, i.e., a = du/dt. Each of the three methods has its own shortcomings.
