Plastic drainage boards, also known as plastic drainage strips, come in various shapes such as wavy and harmonica types. The center features an extruded plastic core board, which serves as the framework and conduit of the drainage strip. Its cross-section is in parallel with a cross shape, and both sides are wrapped with non-woven geotextile as a filter layer. The core strip supports the structure and channels water from the filter layer upwards, making it an excellent vertical conduit for soft soil treatment using drainage consolidation methods on saturated clay, silt, fill soil, etc. This significantly reduces the consolidation time for soft soil.
