2. Intermediate Storage Seed Cold Storage: Storage temperature -4 to 0°C, with relative humidity in the storage room below 50%, with a storage period of 15 years.
3. Short-term Seed Storage Cold Storage: Storage temperature at 10°C, relative humidity inside the storage below 75%, shelf life of 3 years.
The data shows that the lower the temperature and relative humidity within the storage, the longer the safe storage period for the seeds. Therefore, the design of the seed storage facility not only involves controlling the temperature but also regulating the relative humidity.
Seed storage duration is similar to general agricultural products, and it is inseparable from the moisture content and storage environment's temperature and humidity.
