Electric steel poles are made from polygonal steel tubes, round steel tubes, etc., and are coated with hot-dipped galvanized or hot-sprayed zinc (and zinc alloy) for corrosion protection. Mainly used for electric line installation. They are alternative products to traditional concrete poles.

Advantages of Power Steel Poles:

1) Small Land Occupation - The small land occupation is a major advantage of steel poles, as traditional transmission towers and guyed towers have the drawback of large land occupation. However, under the current market economy conditions, land prices are rising continuously, making it increasingly difficult to allocate land for transmission, with increasing investment. Moreover, in some special areas like urban central districts, there are no conditions for establishing towers. Thus, steel poles become a good choice for transmission construction. Steel poles occupy less land, usually about 1/3 of the area of self-supporting towers, and their top dimensions are much smaller than those of towers, requiring less aerial corridor space. Therefore, steel poles generally meet various environmental requirements and save on land occupation costs. 2) Aesthetically Pleasing Design - This is another major advantage of steel poles. As urban construction and city transformation are ongoing, the aesthetic and livable qualities of cities are increasingly of concern to residents. Consequently, urban construction demands higher standards for power line installations, including their aesthetics. Particularly, city landscape roads have stricter requirements in this aspect. Traditional towers struggle to meet these demands. Steel poles, with their compact structure and attractive, small appearance, can basically satisfy aesthetic requirements. 3) Easy and Fast Construction - Constructing traditional towers requires a tower assembly process, whether it's whole or segmented, with similar durations. In contrast, steel pole construction doesn't require assembly and can be erected once the crossarm is installed. The construction speed is much faster than that of towers. Typically, a construction crew can set up 1.5 to 2 towers a day, but can set up around 10 steel poles in a day. Therefore, using steel poles can significantly improve construction efficiency and shorten the工期. 4) Theft-Resistant Materials - Material loss has always been a major issue affecting the safe operation of towers, despite certain preventive measures like installing anti-theft bolts below 6 meters. However, material loss still occurs occasionally. Steel poles, being either integral joints or flange connections, basically eliminate the loss of components, reduce potential accidents, and enhance the health of the power lines. In addition to the above advantages, steel poles have the benefits of a short production cycle and the ability to withstand high stresses.
