The winch-type gate operator primarily connects steel cables or cable pulley sets as hoisting equipment to the gate, using a gear drive system to rotate and release the cables, thereby lifting or lowering the gate, also known as a fixed rope winch. It has a simple structure, is easy to manufacture, and is convenient for maintenance and repair, widely used for the opening and closing of various types of gates. Winch-type gate operators are available in single-point and double-point configurations. The double-point winch-type operator connects two single-point operators through a shaft for synchronized operation, which can be designed for single-side or dual-side drive. The winch-type operator typically uses one unit to control a single gate, installed on a pier above the gate channel.

Section 2: Guide for Selection of Hoist-type Gate Operators

This series of hoists is available in single-point and double-point models. The lifting force for QPQ, QPG, and QPT types ranges from 50kN to 2500kN; for QPT type, it ranges from 50kN to 1250kN, for customer selection.

The opening force or holding force of the QPQ, QPK, QPG, and QPT series products is selected in accordance with the GB/783-65 specification for the lifting capacity series of crane machinery, prioritizing the preferred series.

● The QPQ, QPK, QPT, and QPG series shutdown gates cannot be operated with inclined hoisting.

● The QPG, QPK, QPT, and QPG series of gate operators use 6W (19) type wire ropes with a nominal tensile strength of 1550-1700 N/mm². The wire ropes are supplied with the gate operators, with a standard supply of 40 meters per unit.

The switchgear is equipped with upper and lower stroke limit switches for limit protection operation.

● The lifting point center of the shuttering machine should be selected within the range specified by the parameters.

● The strength of the opening and closing mechanism is calculated based on the light-duty working level, and the motor operates on a scheduled basis; if the working level needs to be increased, the user should propose it, and then change the type of the opening and closing mechanism manufacturing drawing, manufacture, and supply.

The shape of the gate hinge and the connection method of the movable pulley shaft should be determined based on the size of the pin shaft connecting the moving pulley to the gate's actuating mechanism.

● The QPK series shutdown machines have two types of descent speeds: quick and slow. The slow speed is the speed under normal power-on conditions; the quick speed is the descent of the motor driven by the weight of the gate (or water column pressure) without power supply, and its quick value is controlled by the speed controller, not exceeding 5m/min. The quick closing time of the gate is generally 2 minutes.

● Gate Opener Door Height; the user should provide the parameter value or specify the distance from the center of the gate pivot shaft to the bottom of the opener base. If there is a pull rod, the center of the pivot shaft should be the center of the upper shaft hole in the highest position section.

● The foundation layout of the opening and closing machine and the loads acting on the foundation are for reference only during the design of the civil engineer's architecture.

● User-specific requirements can be negotiated between both parties.
