Two-way flashlight screw jack, screw jack product introduction and installation, maintenance Introduction to Dual-Use Handheld Screw-Type Open/Close Machines: A two-way hand-held screw shutter is also known as a screw shutter, a mechanical device that directly or through gate lifting ears and screw connections to the gate leaf, and moves the screw up and down to open and close gates. The two-way hand-held screw shutter has a very simple structure and is easy to install, widely used in the opening and closing of gates in channel culverts and water diversion hubs. With the extensive development of water conservancy and hydropower projects, screw shutters are widely used in reservoir irrigation areas, river embankments, and hydropower plant projects. The installation and debugging technology, as well as the knowledge of operation and maintenance, should also be vigorously promoted. It is essential to popularize this technology and knowledge among construction and installation units and management departments to ensure the quality of the project and maximize its benefits. Section 2: Installation of Dual-purpose Flashlight Screw-type Actuator When installing the two-in-one hand-held screw jack, ensure the foundation layout is level at 180 degrees; the contact area between the jack base and the foundation layout must be over 90%; the screw shaft must be perpendicular to the horizontal surface of the gate platform; it should align vertically with the hinge holes of the gate, to avoid the screw shaft tilting and causing localized stress that may damage the mechanism. After installation, the dual-use screw-type gate operator must undergo a trial run. First, conduct a no-load test by allowing the screw to complete two strokes, listening for any abnormal sounds to ensure the installation meets technical requirements. Second, perform a load test by running the screw through two strokes under the rated load, observing for any anomalies in the screw and gate operation. Only after confirmation of no issues should the operator be operated officially. After a period of load operation, maintenance should be conducted. Clean the new parts inside the machine, particularly the screw, nut, turbine, and worm, gently, apply lubricant, seal tightly, and continue use. Section 3: Faults and Repairs of Dual-Use Flashlight Screw-Type Actuator 1. Accidental top gate failure of the dual-purpose hand-held screw jack caused by non-human factors During operation, floating debris such as trees or obstacles like stones may be swept to the bottom of the gate or jammed in the gate groove by the high-speed water flow. If the gate is closed at this point, the lower edge of the gate is blocked by the obstacle before it can touch the bottom, generating a reverse force. However, the limit indicator or switch on the screw-driven opening and closing machine has not reached its position, so it does not act as a limit stop or alert the operator to stop. Therefore, the operator will not stop the machine, and the opening and closing machine will continue to press down the gate. When the reverse force exceeds the load-bearing capacity of the opening and closing machine or the platform, a gate-jamming accident is inevitable. During use, special attention should be paid to the gate-jamming accidents of the screw-driven opening and closing machine. If such an accident occurs, it should be addressed promptly to prevent more severe incidents. 2. Human-induced gate jam accidents Operators act carelessly, not checking the gate opening and closing procedures before operation, or substitute staff, unfamiliar with the procedures and methods, operate blindly. If the opening and closing direction is reversed, when the gate is in the closed position, opening it will result in an accident; or, during electric operation, pressing the wrong button, or manual operation in the wrong direction, mistakenly operating the closure as opening; in some cases, operators are not focused when closing the gate, failing to stop the machine in time at the lower limit position; or, the limiting nut and sign on the screw shaft have moved, losing their limiting function. Electric gate operators may also encounter power supply department changes in phase sequence during electrical equipment or power line maintenance, causing the motor on the gate operator to change its original operating direction, potentially reversing the opening and closing direction of the operator. If the gate is opened when it is in the closed position, a collision accident is likely to occur. IV. Causes of Screw Bending in the Dual-Use Screw Jack for Flashlight The gate opening indicator is inaccurate or the limit switch fails, causing the gate to continue closing downwards after it is fully closed; incorrect operation of the power unit continues to close the gate that is already fully closed; sudden jamming of the gate or obstacles like a stone on the bottom sill during closing; violating the operational procedures leads to the closing force exceeding the allowable pressure of the screw; the long slender ratio of the handlamp dual-use screw jack screw and connecting rod exceeds the allowable maximum limit or the guide arrangement spacing is too large; the installed screw and connecting rod errors are too large, causing jamming during closing. Repair methods: correction methods such as applying heavy weights, levers, jacks, straighteners, presses, and heating can be used. After correction, the non-perpendicularity should be controlled as follows: not exceeding 0.15mm for every 0.5m length, and not exceeding 0.7mm when the total length is not greater than 5m; when the total length is 510m, it should not exceed 1mm. If it exceeds these standards, further correction is required. To prevent further bending, the screw should be corrected and the cause of the bending addressed. This includes accurately adjusting the gate opening indicator, repairing and adjusting the limit switch, installing limit nuts, adjusting the safety coupling, adjusting the length-to-diameter ratio and guide points of the screw and connecting rod, and adjusting the installation position of the screw.
