Separator for Liquid-Gas Separation · Introduce

The liquid-gas separator is a specialized equipment for primary degassing of gas invaded drilling fluids, primarily used to reduce the diameter of gas bubbles in the gas invaded drilling fluids to approximately≥φ3mm large bubbles. These large bubbles refer to the expandable gases in most of the drilling fluid within a section of the wellbore annulus. If not removed, they can easily cause well blowouts, even spewing out onto the drilling rig's surface. The main separator tank of the separator is made of high-quality materials, effectively preventing erosion of harmful gases and ensuring normal human-machine production.

Mud contaminated with gas enters the separator tank through the mud inlet of the drilling fluid gas-liquid separator, where it is collided with,分流, and its exposed surface area is increased by the separator canopy. The mud then flows downward, creating a turbulent state that allows for complete separation of the gas from the mud. The free gas is discharged through the gas outlet at the top of the tank, with the length of the exhaust pipe determined on-site and equipped accordingly, and it is directed to a safe location for combustion, ignited by a firing device. The degassed drilling fluid is then discharged into the circulating tank for recirculation.
