FZH Series Flame Detectors

I. Overview:

The FZH series flame detectors are a new generation of integrated optical, mechanical, and electrical intelligent instruments. The product adopts advanced foreign optical sensing technology, ensuring stable quality, fast response time, and superior performance. It features compact size, light weight, and easy installation, making it suitable for flame detection, gas monitoring, and release system detection. The FZH series flame detectors employ internationally leading technology and are equipped with imported sensors and detectors based on a microprocessor platform. They offer standard outputs of flame and fault relays, as well as optional 4-20mA analog signal outputs. The FZH series flame detectors can operate as standalone devices, providing direct alarms or driving on-site instruments. They can also interface with various fire control panels, PLC controllers, DCS, and EDS systems. Widely used in power, oil, petrochemical, and offshore oil platforms, the FZH flame detectors effectively ensure personal safety and protect national property from damage, receiving high praise from customers.

II. Principle

During the combustion process, combustible materials emit visible light, infrared, and ultraviolet radiation at different frequencies or wavelengths. In the combustion of gas and heavy oil, the flame emits a significant portion of ultraviolet radiation, followed by visible light and infrared. In the combustion of coal or coal powder, the flame emits a significant portion of infrared radiation. Below, we describe the working principles and application scenarios of the different sensors in the FZH series flame detectors:

(1) The FZH-1 type UV flame detector utilizes high-sensitivity imported sensors for rapid detection of most flame emissions within this spectral range. Its advanced design features resistance to sunlight interference and is primarily used for carbon qin-type flames. The detection range is up to 500 feet for a 1-square-foot gasoline flame. Additionally, the company has developed flame detection solutions for heavy residue oil applications.

Applicable occasions: Furnace chambers, torches, explosives, heavy residual oil, tank farms, dust, etc.

(2) The FZH-2 type infrared flame detector (IR) detects flames by individually identifying infrared radiation and measuring specific infrared frequencies, then integrating and adjusting the circuitry to achieve alarm output functions. The infrared flame detector is also immune to sunlight interference, particularly suitable for high-pressure carbon flames, high-concentration oil and gas environments, and conditions with floating debris. Its detection range is up to 150 feet for a 1 square foot gasoline flame.

Appropriate for: Paint spray workshops, offshore oil platforms, high-pressure gas environments, etc.

(3) The FZH-3 UV/IR Flame Detector is a composite unit consisting of a UV and an IR sensor. These detection units simultaneously monitor different spectral regions, intelligently identify, and make a comprehensive judgment. An alarm signal is only output when both probes detect flame. As these sensors do not share a common alarm source, false alarms caused by factors such as arc light, X-rays, and moving heat objects, which may affect individual UV or IR detectors, have no impact on the FZH-3 UV/IR Flame Detector. It features a LCD display, menu adjustment, and self-diagnostic capabilities. Suitable for situations where single-frequency UV or IR false alarms may occur. Detection range is 300 feet for a 1 square foot gasoline flame.
