When high-temperature flue gas comes into contact with the liquid, it is humidified and cooled, causing the water in the liquid to absorb and evaporate, thereby increasing the total amount of water vapor in the flue gas. As the desulfurization process progresses, the flue gas temperature gradually decreases. The lower flue gas temperature reduces its capacity to carry steam. When the flue gas reaches saturation, the weight of the water vapor exceeds its carrying capacity, leading to a large amount of condensation into small droplets, forming wet flue gas. The emission of wet flue gas creates white smoke.
The primary component of the white smoke is steam, which is clean flue gas after desulfurization and denitrification treatment, with emissions concentrations meeting standards. Additionally, during the wet flue gas desulfurization and denitrification process at domestic thermal power plants, white smoke may also be produced.
