Electrically heated reactor


Overview

Electrically heated reaction kettles are primarily used in the oil, chemical, rubber, pesticide, dye, and food industries, serving as vessels for processes such as vulcanization, nitration, hydrogenation, hydrocarbonation, polymerization, and condensation, including reactors, reaction kettles, decomposition pots, and polymerizers, etc. Materials typically include stainless steel and carbon steel. These electrically heated reaction kettles are widely applied in the chemical, food, natural flavoring, food additive, and light industry sectors.

 

Equipment Structure

Electrically heated reaction kettle is composed of kettle body, kettle lid, stirrer, jacket, support and transmission device, shaft seal device, etc. The material and aperture can be customized according to the user's process requirements. Made of 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel plate, the stirring types generally include anchor, paddle, worm gear, pusher, or frame. It is a cost-effective and easy-to-operate unit that heats the oil in the jacket directly with electric heating rods, achieving high heating temperatures. The reaction kettle is made up of kettle lid, cylinder body, jacket, stirrer, shaft seal transmission device, and support. It is suitable for various organic compounds in decomposition, synthesis, cracking, polymerization, and esterification reactions.

Heating methods include electric, oil, gas, water heating (or cooling), and open flame heating. Jacket types are jacketed and semi-tubular, with jacketed oil heating models featuring flow guidance devices. Mixing styles generally include paddle, anchor, frame, ribbon, and scraper types. High-speed models include dispersing impeller, turbine, high-shear, and propeller designs, catering to customer process requirements. Transmission types include standard, explosion-proof, electromagnetic speed control, and variable-frequency motors. Heat exchangers come in cycloidal pinion, worm, and planetary non-stop speed variation designs. Shaft seals are available in standard water-cooled filling, combined PTFE filling, and mechanical sealing. Discharge options include ball valves and bottom-draw valves.

The electrically heated reactor features rapid heating, high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, hygiene, environmental pollution-free, no need for pot movement to heat, and ease of use.

 Used in oil, chemical, rubber, pesticide, dye, food industries, for processes such as vulcanization, nitration, hydrogenation, hydrocarbonation, polymerization, condensation, etc. It relies on thorough mixing of the reacting substances, and requires a stirrer for effective heat transfer, cooling, liquid extraction, and gas absorption, ensuring optimal performance. Jacketed types include jacketed and semi-tubular, with all jacketed oil heating types featuring flow guides. Mixing methods are generally paddle, anchor, frame, ribbon, scraper, etc. High-speed types include diffuser impeller, turbine, high-shear, and propeller, for customers to choose according to the process. Transmission methods include standard motors, explosion-proof motors, electromagnetic speed-regulated motors, and variable-frequency drives. Reduction gears come in involute pinion, worm gear, and planetary infinite variable-speed designs. Shaft seals are typically water-cooled packed, combined packed, and mechanical sealed.


The reactor is composed of the pot body, pot cover, agitator, electric heating oil jacket, support and transmission device, shaft seal device, oil overflow trough, etc., and is equipped with electric heating rods and temperature and pressure measuring instruments. (See Figures 1 and 2) Due to the varying production processes and operating conditions among users, the type of agitation generally includes anchor, paddle, turbine, propulsion, or frame type. The bearing seat is available in suspended or supported styles. The inner sleeve contains thermal medium cylinder oil, which is heated by electric heating rods, and the jacket has openings for oil intake, exhaust, overflow, venting, and electric heating rod, as well as temperature measurement connections. The jacket outer wall is welded with supports, and the pot body has an outlet at the bottom.
