Overview
Electrically heated reaction kettles are primarily used in the oil, chemical, rubber, pesticide, dye, and food industries. They are containers for completing processes such as vulcanization, nitration, hydrogenation, hydrocarbonation, polymerization, and condensation, such as reactors, reaction kettles, decomposition pots, and polymerization reactors. Materials generally include stainless steel and carbon steel. Electrically heated reaction kettles are widely used in the chemical, food, natural flavoring, food additive, and light industry sectors.
Equipment Structure
The electrically heated reaction kettle is composed of the kettle body, lid, stirrer, jacket, support, and drive unit, as well as shaft sealing devices. The material and openings can be customized according to the user's process requirements. Made from 1Cr18Ni19Ti stainless steel plate, the stirring types usually include anchor, paddle, worm gear, thrust, or frame styles. It is a cost-effective and easy-to-operate unit that heats the oil in the jacket directly with electric heating rods, achieving high heating temperatures. The reaction kettle consists of the lid, cylinder, jacket, stirrer, shaft sealing drive unit, and supports. It is suitable for various organic compounds in decomposition, synthesis, cracking, polymerization, and esterification reactions.
Heating methods include electric, oil, gas, water heating (or cooling), and open flame heating. Jacket types are jacketed and half-tubular, with all jacketed oil heating models equipped with a flow guide. Agitator types generally include paddle, anchor, frame, ribbon, and scraper designs. High-speed models feature dispersal impeller, turbine, high-shear, and propeller types, allowing customers to choose based on their process. Drive types include standard motor, explosion-proof motor, electromagnetic speed control motor, and frequency converter. Heat exchangers come in cycloidal pinion, worm, and planetary gearless variable-speed designs. Shaft seals are available in standard water-cooled filling, composite Teflon filling, and mechanical sealing. Discharge options include ball valves and downward expansion valves.

Transmission methods include standard motors, explosion-proof motors, electromagnetic speed control motors, inverters, etc. Reduction gears include cycloidal pinion, worm, and planetary variable speed. Shaft seals include standard water-cooled packed, combined packed, and mechanical seals.
The reactor is composed of the pot body, pot cover, agitator, electric heating oil jacket, support and transmission device, shaft seal, and overflow oil sump, and is equipped with electric heating rods and temperature and pressure measuring instruments. (See Figures 1 and 2) Due to the varying production processes and operating conditions of users, the type of agitation generally includes anchor, paddle, turbine, propeller, or frame. The bearing seat comes in two types: suspended or supported. The jacket contains heat medium cylinder oil, which is heated by electric heating rods, and the jacket has inlet, outlet, overflow, vent, and electric heating rod, as well as temperature measurement, etc., connection holes. The jacket outer wall is welded with brackets, and the pot body has an outlet at the bottom.
