Today, preservative-treated wood is extensively used in the maintenance and renovation of ancient Chinese architecture, as well as in municipal projects, parks, and residential communities for applications such as preservative wood fences, tree pit railings, wooden fences, boardwalks, leisure walkways, benches, flower beds, railings, trash bins, waiting halls, and scenic bridges, among other outdoor wooden structures. It can also be utilized in indoor decorative works.

Due to the varying compositions of different preservatives, it is necessary to differentiate the use of wood treated with different preservatives for different locations.

Treated wood maintains the wood's natural, environmentally friendly visual, tactile, and auditory characteristics, and more importantly, adds unique preservative functions and a certain flame-retardant property. It is not only widely used in industries, agriculture (crop support wood), and construction, but also extends to applications in wooden villa houses, floor decks, pergolas, balconies, wooden bridges, walkways, garden furniture, flower stands, pots, and other various outdoor wood products, satisfying people's admiration for nature, simplicity, and integration. Developed countries in Europe and America began to widely use it in the 1950s of the last century.
