详情描述

Porous pavement, also known as porous concrete or permeable flooring, is a lightweight, porous concrete mix composed of aggregates, cement, and water. It lacks fine aggregates and forms a honeycomb-like structure with uniformly distributed voids, as the coarse aggregates are bonded together by a thin layer of cement paste on their surfaces. Thus, it features breathability, permeability, and light weight.

Agitation: The cement slurry in the waterproofing concrete mixture has a higher viscosity and less quantity, thus a forced agitation mixer should be used, with a mixing time of over 5 minutes.

2. Pouring: Before pouring, the subgrade must be moistened with water. Since the permeable pavement mixture is quite dry and hard, simply lay the mixed permeable pavement and the good permeable pavement materials flat on the subgrade.

3. Vibrating: Avoid excessive vibration or compaction during pouring. Generally, use a flat vibrator to lightly vibrate the permeable concrete mixture after it has been spread, but be cautious not to use a high-frequency vibrator. Otherwise, it may make the concrete too dense, reducing the porosity and affecting its permeability. Additionally, high-frequency vibration can cause the cement slurry to separate from the coarse aggregate surface, settle at the bottom to form an impermeable layer, and thus lose its permeability.

4. Rolling: After vibration compaction, further compact and flatten the permeable concrete mix using solid steel pipes or light roller compactors. Depending on the consistency of the mix and surrounding temperature conditions, multiple rollings may be required. However, it is important to clean the roller before rolling to prevent the sticking of aggregates.

5. Maintenance: Permeable paving is prone to water loss due to its numerous holes and dries quickly, making maintenance crucial. Early stage maintenance is particularly important to prevent excessive evaporation of moisture in the paving. Generally, the demolding time for permeable concrete is shorter than that for regular concrete, exposing its sides and edges to the air. Therefore, cover the surface and sides promptly with plastic film or colored burlap to maintain humidity and ensure complete hydration of the cement. Start watering the permeable paving the day after pouring, but avoid using a high-pressure water jet directly on the concrete surface as it may wash away some cement slurry, creating weaker areas. Instead, water from above in a normal manner. It is recommended to water the permeable paving for 5 to 7 days for proper maintenance.
