Artistic pavement construction requires specific requirements for subgrade concrete work:
The strength of the base concrete should be ≥C20, with the water-cement ratio as small as possible, and no early-strength agent should be present in the mix.
2. Medium-sized aggregate particle size for concrete should be ≤30mm, and the minimum thickness of the base concrete must be ≥50mm.
3. The slump of concrete should be controlled between 3-4 cm, while the slump of commercial concrete should be maintained at 12-14 cm.
4. Crushed stone and unprepared subsoil bases must be compacted or tamped.
