Porous pavement is highly practical, conducive to the benign development of the human living environment, and plays a significant role in rainwater management, utilization, and water pollution control. It is a key promotion project of the "National Construction Ministry's Science and Technology Achievements," widely used in sidewalks, bike lanes, light rail tracks, public squares, outdoor parking lots, as well as park pathways and scenic roads.

Porous concrete pavement material is an eco-friendly, high-permeability material for sponge city construction, serving as a new paving method that can partially replace urban paved surfaces and effectively improve the urban ecosystem. It revives the vitality of urban surfaces, allows rainwater to infiltrate the ground, effectively eliminates surface water accumulation, and is a green, environmentally friendly ground material that "breathes."

a. Subgrade Treatment: Clean the subgrade surface ensuring it is free of dust, twigs, paper屑, and other debris, and moisten the subgrade surface before laying.

b. Fabric: When laying permeable pavement, consider the reserved compacted height. When using manual fabric for permeable pavement, use a shovel to flip it over; throwing is strictly prohibited. If the laying time of permeable pavement exceeds 30 minutes or there is strong wind, cover the concrete site with plastic sheeting promptly to prevent excessive rapid evaporation of the permeable pavement moisture.

c. Compaction: After the plain color permeable flooring fabric is completed, it is leveled with a trowel and compacted using a flat plate compactor. Once compacted, lay the colored permeable flooring or colored aggregate permeable concrete on the surface, then level it. Promptly replenish any shortages and use specialized permeable flooring equipment for surface compaction and leveling until it is flush with the formwork.

d. Surface Refinement: Promptly finish the edges of the compacted surface with permeable concrete, fill and refine areas with insufficient material, and for drier sections, spray a uniform layer of water first before adding material for refinement.

e. After the permeable concrete aggregate is exposed and the surface is smooth and dense to the required standard, apply a uniform coating of cleaning agent to the surface and then cover it with a plastic film. After 6-8 hours (depending on weather conditions) of application, use a high-pressure water jet to rinse the surface. During rinsing, ensure the cleaning agent is thoroughly cleaned off without any debris falling off.

f. Maintenance: After the surface finishing of the permeable paving is completed, it should be immediately lightly watered and covered with plastic film for maintenance. The maintenance period is the same as that of ordinary concrete. During the maintenance period, barriers should be set around the road surface, and it is strictly prohibited to enter on foot or by vehicle.
