Porous paving offers strong practicality, promoting the benign development of human living environments; it also plays a significant role in rainwater management and utilization, as well as in water pollution control. It is a key promotion project of the "National Construction Ministry's Scientific and Technological Achievements," widely used in pedestrian walkways, bike lanes, light rail tracks, public squares, outdoor parking lots, and park pathways, scenic roads, and more.

Porous concrete pavement materials are eco-friendly, high-permeability materials used in sponge city construction. They serve as a new paving method that can partially replace urban paved surfaces, effectively improving the city's ecology. These materials revitalize the urban surface, allow rainwater to infiltrate the ground, and effectively eliminate surface water accumulation, making them a "breathing" green and environmentally friendly ground material.

a. Subgrade Treatment: Clean the subgrade surface, ensuring it is free of dust, twigs, paper屑, and other debris. Wet the subgrade surface before laying.

b. Fabric: When laying permeable paving, consider the compacted height reserve. When using manual fabric for permeable paving, use a shovel to flip it over, and strictly prohibit throwing. If the laying time of permeable paving exceeds 30 minutes or during strong wind conditions, cover the concrete on site with plastic sheeting to prevent rapid evaporation of the paving's moisture.

c. Vibrating Compaction: After the plain color permeable paving fabric is completed, it is leveled with a trowel and then compacted using a flat plate vibrator. Once compacted, lay the colored permeable paving or colored aggregate permeable concrete over the surface, then level it. Immediately fill in any shortages and use specialized permeable paving equipment for surface vibration and leveling until it is flush with the formwork.

d. Surface Finishing: Promptly trim the edges of the compacted road surface with permeable concrete. For areas with insufficient material, fill and trim. For drier sections, first spray a uniform layer of water, then add material for trimming.

e. After the permeable concrete aggregate is exposed and the surface is smooth and dense enough, apply a uniform spray of cleaning agent. Then, cover it with a plastic film. After 6-8 hours (depending on the weather), use a high-pressure water jet to rinse the surface. Be sure to clean off the cleaning agent thoroughly without any peeling or other issues.

f. Maintenance: After the surface finishing of the permeable pavement, it should be immediately lightly watered and covered with a plastic film for maintenance. The maintenance period is the same as that of ordinary concrete. During the maintenance period, barriers should be set around the road surface, and it is strictly prohibited to have people or vehicles on the site.
