CNC External Cylindrical Grinder

Numerical Control (NC) external cylindrical grinding machines are pre-programmed according to machining requirements and operate through numerical information commands issued by the control system. They are primarily used for grinding the outer surfaces of cylindrical and conical shapes.
Numerical control external cylindrical grinding machines generally feature high levels of generalization, modularity, high precision, high rigidity, and high adaptability.
According to the different types of CNC external cylindrical grinding machines, mass production of relevant parts for industries such as automotive, motorcycles, air compressors, bearings, aviation, and aerospace is applicable.
Numerical Control External Cylindrical Grinding Machines are composed of parts such as the bed, worktable, abrasive wheel stand, headstock, tailstock, etc.
1. Bed Frame and Workbench
The bed features large round holes and shark fin-shaped rib plates, ensuring good dynamic and static stiffness after long-term use.
Workbench features an upper and lower surface for grinding conical shapes. The bed and workbench guide rails use plastic-lined guides with a low friction coefficient. The workbench is directly driven by a servo motor to move the ball screw, ensuring smooth and reliable movement.
2. Grinding Wheel Stand
The grinding wheel has a linear speed of less than 35m/s, offering high grinding efficiency. The grinding head bearing features a large angle three-piece thrust ball bearing, providing high rotational accuracy. The grinding wheel carriage movement (X-axis) is directly driven by a servo motor and ball screw, with a fine resolution of 0.0005mm.
3. Headstand
The rotation of the headstock indexing disk is driven by a motor with variable frequency speed control to power the belt wheel. The indexing disk rotates with a stepless speed variation of 40-500 rpm, catering to the grinding requirements of workpieces with different diameters, materials, and specifications.
4. CNC control box and electrical cabinet
Independent CNC control box with LCD display, machine tool operation buttons, 1um band compensation switch, hand-cranked pulse generator, etc.
5. End Face Gauge and Diameter Gauge
When equipped with a CNC lathe, the measured values are automatically input into the CNC system. The CNC system sends signals to rotate the X-axis servo motor, which drives the ball screw to reach the specified position, ensuring the machining size of the workpiece is stably achieved at the required location. The size dispersion of batch machined workpieces is less than 0.003mm.
