    The 20-liter plastic drum formula is primarily composed of a specific resin, enhanced by the addition of various functional additives in different proportions to create a new-performance material combination. Formula design is a complex technical task, involving various aspects such as the properties of raw and auxiliary materials, product specifications and quality, production equipment and molds, as well as the selection of production processes and control of process parameters. In the formula, the roles of each component are interrelated, significantly affecting the properties of plastic products. Therefore, formula designers must have a comprehensive understanding of various raw materials, equipment, and production processes to design a more reasonable material formula. Depending on the amount of plasticizer added to the formula, plastics are categorized into rigid, semi-rigid, and soft products.

    Hard Plastic 20-liter Drum Material Formula Precautions: Hard polyethylene products include boards, sheets, tubes, fittings, and extrusions. When selecting the material and formula for molding these polyethylene products, attention should be given to the following points. Polyethylene should be chosen as a suspension-type, loose polyethylene resin. It should be extruded or pressed into hard form. Generally, no plasticizers should be added to the formula to avoid reducing the product's heat and corrosion resistance; however, a small amount of plasticizer can be added to the injection molding material formula to enhance melt fluidity and facilitate molding. To prevent degradation and discoloration of the resin due to heat and light exposure during plasticization and use, a stabilizer should be added to the formula. For transparent products, a good heat-resistant alkali plumbite auxiliary stabilizer should be used as the main stabilizer; for outdoor products, a good light-stability alkali phosphite lead stabilizer should be added; for products that require high temperature resistance or foaming, a dialkyl phthalate lead stabilizer should be added; for food contact materials, a tin stabilizer should be added. To prevent the resin melt from adhering to the working surface of the equipment, which facilitates melt processing and increases processing speed, a stearic acid or paraffin lubricant should be added to the formula. When extruding, the amount of lubricant should be less than the mass fraction.

    20-liter plastic drum injection molding materials should have the resin and lubricant quality fraction within the specified range. Adding fillers to the molding material can reduce production costs and improve certain properties and processing characteristics. For example, adding fillers to extrusion molding products can increase hardness, facilitate process control, and make the melt easier to shape. In the material formula for hard tube molding, barium sulfate and calcium carbonate are generally added; titanium dioxide is often used in white products or products requiring good toughness. Adding fillers to the injection molding material formula can reduce the shrinkage rate of the product. In the material formula for injection molding products with good fluidity and high impact toughness, titanium dioxide fillers are often added. For some hard products with special requirements, some specialized modifiers need to be added. For example, to improve the impact resistance of the product, impact modifier should be added; to improve the heat resistance of the product, polyethylene and glass fiber can be used to reinforce; to improve the rigidity of the product, aldehyde resin with a relative molecular mass can be added as a reactive plasticizer, etc. When selecting the material formula for soft polyethylene products such as films, soft tubes, cable materials, and sealing strips, attention should be paid to the combination of the molding material formula.
