As the gas flows through the packing voids, the large contact area and reaction time between the waste gas and absorbent liquid on the packing surface are enhanced due to the packing's high mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, high porosity, and large surface area. The purified gas, which contains some moisture, passes through a mist removal device at the top of the tower to remove the moisture before being directly released into the atmosphere. The wastewater falls to the circulating pool due to gravity and is recycled after being treated with chemicals. The settled sludge should be regularly removed, transported, and disposed of.
