Labeling Method: Genuine leather products will be marked with the manufacturing date, leather factory name, and area on the back. (The manufacturing date should not be too old; leather over 3 years should be checked for signs of mold.)

When slicing the leather horizontally, one can see that the color from the outer layer to the inner layer must be consistent. Pay attention to whether there is any discoloration below the outer layer to avoid purchasing dyed or altered leather.

The olfactory method: Good leather should not have a pungent smell after processing; therefore, an excessive solvent or paint odor is undesirable.

Heat Resistance Method: Request a small piece of leather material from the manufacturer, and touch the sample with a cigarette butt for 2 to 3 seconds to avoid purchasing PU products. When burning with a lighter, due to the larger contact area, the duration needs to be extended.
