Due to the varying materials or origins of stainless steel plates, there are several methods to identify the material of stainless steel plates based on their origin:

One, to identify the material of stainless steel plates imported or ordered by steel mills, it is generally sufficient to check the markings on the steel or packaging based on the quality certificates provided by the importers or steel mills. The quality certificate is a confirmation and guarantee from the supplier of the inspection results of the batch of products. Therefore, the quality certificate not only states the name, specifications, quantity of delivered parts, weight, and delivery status of the material but also states all the inspection results of the specified guaranteed items. Similarly, to facilitate management, avoid confusion, and prevent accidents caused by confusion, manufacturers mark the brand, batch number, status, specifications, quantity, and manufacturer code on the materials or packaging. The markings should be consistent with the content of the quality certificate. The most common marking methods are as follows: coloring (applying a color to indicate the grade of the material at the material location), printing (impressing or spraying on the material location to indicate the grade, specifications, furnace number, etc., commonly used on thick plates or medium to large steel sections), and tagging (hanging and marking grades on bundled or boxed materials). The marking of stainless steel plates is generally printing and tagging.
