Stainless Steel Coils

Stainless steel sheets are widely used in our daily lives, and their processing industry is quite diverse, mainly including cold rolling, forging, and hot rolling methods. Today, we'll introduce you to the forging process of stainless steel sheets:

1. Forging

The外形 of the small-sized pipe fittings like tees, crosses, and elbows for socket welding and threaded connections is relatively complex, and the forging process can be employed. The billet used in this process should be rolled sections. When using stainless steel plates as raw materials, the rolled sections from ingots must be prepared first. The billet is heated and then placed in the mold for forging, where pressure causes the metal to flow and fill the mold cavity; any excess flash on the forged blank is then removed to complete the forging process.

2. Free Forging

Special-shaped pipe fittings or stainless steel plates unsuitable for die forging can be manufactured using the free forging process, which should produce an approximate shape of the pipe fitting.

3. Machining Services

Round-shaped stainless steel sheets can be directly cut and shaped from bars or thick-walled pipes. During the processing, the fiber direction of the metal material should be roughly parallel to the axis of the stainless steel. For tees, four-way branches, and elbows, direct cutting and shaping from bars is not allowed.
