Steel Spiral Pipe for Oil & Petrochemical Industry

Spiral-welded steel pipes for pressure fluid transportation, utilizing GB/T9711-2023 spiral seam submerged arc welding steel pipes, mainly used for oil and natural gas pipeline transportation.

Generally used for low-pressure fluid transportation, spiral seam submerged arc-welded steel pipes according to GB/T3091-2015 and SY/T5037-2023, manufactured by double-sided automatic submerged arc welding for general low-pressure fluid transportation such as water, gas, air, and steam.

Spiral steel pipes commonly follow standards such as SY/T5037-2023 (Ministry Standard, also known as Spiral Welded Steel Pipe for General Fluid Transportation), GB/T3091-2015, GB/T9711-2023 PSL1 and PSL2 (National Standard, also known as Steel Pipe for Oil and Gas Industry Transportation, API-5L from the American Petroleum Institute, also known as Pipeline Steel Pipe; divided into PSL1 and PSL2 levels), and SY/T5040-2008 (Spiral Welded Steel Pipe for Piling).

SY/T5037-2023 is commonly referred to as the Ministry Standard, which is a set of general standards established by the Petroleum Department.

Piled Spiral Welded Steel Pipe (SY5040-2008) is made from hot-rolled steel strip coils, formed into pipes through normal temperature spiral rolling, and produced by double-sided submerged arc welding or high-frequency welding. It is used for steel pipes in civil engineering structures, docks, bridges, and other foundation piles.
