Spiral-welded steel pipes for pressure fluid transportation, utilizing GB/T9711-2023 spiral seam submerged arc welding steel pipes, mainly used for oil and natural gas pipeline transportation.

General low-pressure fluid transportation, using spiral-welded submerged arc steel pipes according to GB/T3091-2015 and SY/T5037-2023, produced by double-sided automatic submerged arc welding for general low-pressure fluid transportation, such as water, gas, air, and steam.

Common standards for spiral steel pipes generally include: SY/T5037-2023 (industry standard, also known as Spiral Seam Submerged Arc Welded Steel Pipe for Ordinary Fluid Conveyance), GB/T3091-2015, GB/T9711-2023 PSL1 and PSL2 (national standard, also known as Steel Pipe for Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry, API-5L (American Petroleum Institute, also known as Pipeline Steel Pipe; with PSL1 and PSL2 as two grades)), SY/T5040-2008 (screw-welded steel pipe for pile).

SY/T5037-2023 is a general standard set by the Petroleum Department, often referred to as the Departmental Standard.

GB/T9711-2023 PSL1/2 Standard Spiral Steel Pipe, used for pipeline transportation in the petroleum and natural gas industries.

Piling Spiral Welded Steel Pipes (SY5040-2008) are manufactured from hot-rolled steel strip coils as billets, formed by normal temperature spiral rolling, and produced through double-sided submerged arc welding or high-frequency welding. They are used for steel pipes in civil engineering structures, wharfs, bridges, and other foundation piles.
