Spiral Steel Pipe for Gas Use

Spiral-welded steel pipes for pressure fluid transportation, utilizing GB/T9711-2023 spiral seam submerged arc welding steel pipes, mainly used for oil and natural gas pipeline transportation.

General low-pressure fluid transportation, spiral seam submerged arc welded steel pipes according to GB/T3091-2015 and SY/T5037-2023, manufactured using double-sided automatic submerged arc welding for low-pressure fluid conveyance such as water, gas, air, and steam.

The commonly used standards for spiral steel pipes are generally divided into: SY/T5037-2023 (Ministry Standard, also known as Spiral Submerged Arc Welded Steel Pipe for General Fluid Conveyance), GB/T3091-2015, GB/T9711-2023 PSL1 and PSL2 (National Standard, also known as Steel Pipe for Oil and Gas Industry Conveyance, API-5L [American Petroleum Institute, also known as Line Pipe]; which includes two levels, PSL1 and PSL2), and SY/T5040-2008 (Pile Spiral Welded Steel Pipe).

SY/T5037-2023 is a standard set by the Ministry of Petroleum, generally referred to as the Ministry Standard.

GB/T9711-2023 PSL1/2 Standard Spiral Steel Pipe, suitable for oil and gas industry transportation.

Piled Spiral Welded Steel Pipe (SY5040-2008) is manufactured from hot-rolled steel strip coils, formed into pipes through normal temperature spiral forming, and joined by double-sided submerged arc welding or high-frequency welding. It is used for steel pipes in civil engineering structures, wharfs, bridges, and other foundation piles.
