Spiral-welded steel pipes for pressure fluid conveyance, using submerged arc welding with spiral seam according to GB/T9711-2023, mainly used for pipeline transportation of oil and natural gas.

General low-pressure fluid transportation, utilizing spiral-welded submerged arc steel pipes according to GB/T3091-2015 and SY/T5037-2023, manufactured by double-sided automatic submerged arc welding for the transportation of general low-pressure fluids such as water, coal gas, air, and steam.

Spiral steel pipes are commonly standardized as follows: SY/T5037-2023 (Ministry Standard, also known as Spiral Seam Submerged Arc Welded Steel Pipes for General Fluid Transportation), GB/T3091-2015, GB/T9711-2023 PSL1 and PSL2 (National Standard, also known as Steel Pipes for Oil and Gas Industry Transportation, API-5L [American Petroleum Institute, also known as Pipeline Steel Pipe; categorized into PSL1 and PSL2 grades]), SY/T5040-2008 (Pile Spiral Welded Steel Pipes).

SY/T5037-2023 is a general standard set by the Ministry of Petroleum, often referred to as the Ministry Standard.

GB/T9711-2023 PSL1/2 Standard Spiral Steel Pipe, used for pipeline transportation in the oil and natural gas industries.

Piled Spiral Welded Steel Pipe (SY5040-2008) is produced by rolling steel strips into billets, then forming them through normal temperature spiral welding, and is manufactured using double-sided submerged arc welding or high-frequency welding. These pipes are used for the foundation piles in civil engineering structures, docks, bridges, and other applications.
