Application Scope

The SW8 series new energy dedicated universal circuit breakers (hereinafter referred to as the circuit breakers) are suitable for AC 50Hz, rated working voltage of 690V or DC 1000V, and rated working current of 3200A and below in box-type substations, wind farm main tower structures, and photovoltaic DC systems. They are used to protect the lines and power equipment from the hazards of overloads, under-voltage, over-voltage, short circuits, ground faults, and current unbalance.
The circuit breaker employs an intelligent controller with strict selective protection and multiple functions, providing comprehensive protection. It is particularly suitable for distribution networks that require enhanced power supply reliability and aim to avoid unnecessary power outages. The H-type intelligent controller features communication interfaces for easy connection to field buses, enabling the "remote measurement," "remote adjustment," "remote control," and "remote signaling" four remote functions, meeting the requirements of control automation.
The circuit breakers come in four applicable types: low-temperature resistant, salt mist resistant, high-altitude, and photovoltaic DC.

Model and its meaning

Operating Environment

Ambient Air Temperature: Maximum not exceeding +40°C, minimum not less than -40°C, 24-hour average not exceeding +35°C; reduction in capacity required when environmental temperature exceeds 40°C.
Atmospheric Conditions: The relative humidity should not exceed 50% when the surrounding air temperature is +50°C, with higher relative humidity permissible at lower temperatures. The monthly average extreme relative humidity during the wettest month should be 90%, with the monthly average extreme temperature being +25°C. Consideration is given to condensation on the product surface due to temperature changes.
The installation location's altitude should not exceed 2,000 meters; derating is required for altitudes above 2,000 meters (except for high-altitude breakers, which do not require derating).
● Pollution level: 3rd grade
● Installation Category: Main circuit IV, secondary circuit II
● Installation Conditions: The installation of the circuit breaker should not exceed a tilt of 5° from the vertical plane, with no significant swinging or impact vibration.
