Glass fiber cooling tower with distributor The distributor is a water distribution device for medium and small-sized circular counterflow glass fiber reinforced plastic cooling towers. It is a critical component in the cooling tower. Its function is to evenly distribute water over the packing material, increasing the water-gas contact surface area, causing some of the water to evaporate, thereby removing heat and lowering the water temperature. Glass-fiber Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Cooling Tower Water Distributor Components: The water distributor is composed of two parts: the bearing seal assembly and the rotating body. The seal assembly used consists of a bearing sleeve set at the top of the distributor, which is connected to the cover and tray at the upper and lower ends, respectively. This allows the bearing within the seal assembly to fit with the central shaft, and the tray is connected to the body through a connecting rod to form the rotating part of the water distributor. Additionally, a water-stop device is set on the shaft body between the seal assembly and the body, altering the bearing's exposure to the impact of recirculating water. This effectively prevents rust caused by water vapor, ensuring smooth operation and extending the overall service life. Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) Cooling Tower Spray Nozzle Operation Principle: Cooling water flows through the inlet pipe into the distributor, then through the spray holes on the distributor to form a water stream, which is sprinkled onto the packing material in the cooling tower. Due to the small diameter of the spray holes, the water stream has a certain speed. According to the principle of action and reaction, the distributor is subjected to a force opposite to the direction of the water stream, causing it to rotate and continuously distribute the water stream over the packing material. The water adheres to the surface of the packing material in a film-like flow, increasing the water-air interface. The air flows in the opposite direction to the water stream inside the tower for heat exchange, causing some of the water to evaporate and carry away heat, thereby lowering the water temperature.
