This aids in maintaining better structural stability and thermal shock resistance at high temperatures. It also improves the bricks' anti-oxidation and corrosion resistance. Due to the high content of aromatic compounds and resin in the modified asphalt, these substances can form a protective layer on the surface of the magnesia carbon bricks, effectively preventing the intrusion of oxygen and corrosive gases, thereby extending their service life.
