What is Particleboard?

Particleboard, also known as chipboard, is a type of engineered wood product made by cutting various branches, small-diameter wood, fast-growing wood, sawdust, and other materials into uniform fragments. These fragments are then dried, mixed with adhesives, hardeners, waterproofing agents, and pressed into boards under specific temperature and pressure conditions, resulting in an uneven particle arrangement. Despite its name, particleboard is not the same as solid wood particleboard. While the manufacturing process is similar, solid wood particleboard is of much higher quality than particleboard.
