Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current (CC) Switching Instructions: Under rated power, voltage, and current output, the desired settings can be freely combined; the output mode is either Constant Voltage (CV) or Constant Current (CC), depending on the output voltage of the power supply, the set current value, and the size of the load resistance. As shown in the diagram: Curve 1 and Curve represent two loads with different resistances. When Curve 1 intersects with Iset, the power supply operates in CC mode. When Curve 2 intersects with Vset, the power supply operates in CV mode.

You can determine the load's status by a simple calculation:

Then, the set load value Rset = Vset / Iset can be obtained.

If we have an actual load value RL = Vo/Io,

When RL > Rset, the power supply operates in constant voltage mode.
