Steel structure platforms, also known as work platforms, come in various designs and offer comprehensive functionalities. Their most distinctive feature is the fully assembled structure, which is highly flexible and widely used in modern storage. These structures are typically made of steel beams, columns, and plates, connected by welds, screws, or rivets. Platform layout: 1. Ensure compliance with process production operations, guaranteeing sufficient clearances for passage and operation. The general clear height should not be less than 1.8M, and protective railings should be set around the platform perimeter, typically 1M in height. For platforms over 2M high, a toe board 100-150mm high should be installed under the railings. Ladders for access should be provided, with a minimum width of 600mm. 2. When determining the platform's plan dimensions, elevation, beam and column layout, consider not only the operational requirements but also the placement of equipment loads and other significant concentrated loads on the platform, as well as the suspension of large-diameter industrial pipelines. 3. Aim for an economically reasonable and force transmission layout. The beam spacing should match the span. Increase the spacing when the beam span is large, taking full advantage of the allowable span of the deck plates for a more cost-effective arrangement.
