Steel structure platforms, also known as work platforms, come in various designs and offer comprehensive functionalities. These structures are typically made of steel beams, columns, and plates, connected by welds, screws, or rivets. Platform layout: 1. Ensure compliance with process production operations, guaranteeing clear passage and operation space. The general clear height should not be less than 1.8M, and protective railings should be installed around the platform, typically 1M in height. When the platform height exceeds 2M, a toe board of 100-150mm in height should be set below the railings. A ladder for access should be provided, with a minimum width of 600mm. 2. When determining the platform's plan dimensions, elevation, beam grid, and column layout, consider not only the usage requirements but also the placement of equipment loads, other significant concentrated loads, and the suspension of large-diameter industrial pipelines. 3. Aim for economic and reasonable layout of the platform structure, ensuring direct and clear force transmission. The beam grid should match the span. When the beam span is large, the spacing should also be increased. Make full use of the allowable span of the decking to rationally arrange the beam grid for better economic results.
