Through-aisle racking, also known as walk-in racking or drive-in racking, allows forklifts (or无人guided forklifts with trolleys) to access the aisles for loading and unloading. Ideal for storing items with limited variety but high volume, it is suitable for storage of such goods. Due to the need for forklifts to enter the racks to retrieve items, it is generally recommended not to exceed 7 positions deep on one side. To enhance forklift speed, guided tracks can be installed as needed. Compared to bin racking, through-aisle racking (drive-in racking) can increase storage space utilization by over 30%. It is widely used in wholesale, cold storage, and the food, tobacco industries. The advantages of through-aisle racking include: 1.
