How to Chamfer Curbing Stone?

Rimstone is the most common type of facing stone. When processed, it takes on a square, rectangular shape. However, many of the rimstones we see feature bevelled or rounded corners, which are what we refer to as chamfers.Beveling refers to cutting the edges of an object to create a certain斜面. So, how is the curbstone beveled?There are numerous methods for chamfering curbs, with the more advanced ones including fully automatic chamfering, semi-automatic chamfering, and manual chamfering. Fully automatic chamfering utilizes a specialized chamfering machine that operates automatically once the parameters are set. However, not many manufacturers use this type of machine, as it is quite space-consuming and has a low usage rate.

Most stone factories do not solely produce curb stones; they typically manufacture a variety of products, including fired boards, smooth slabs, and荔枝 textured panels, as well as curb stones. Consequently, many stone factories predominantly use semi-automatic and manual chamfering methods.

The so-called semi-automatic process involves using an infrared cutting machine for chamfering. During the processing of curb stones, the rough stones are first cut to the required thickness, then cut to the desired specifications using the cutting machine. Finally, adjusting the tilt of the blade allows for chamfering. However, this method is only suitable for chamfering angles and not for rounding corners.
