Tips for Installing Sesame Grey Granite Paving

Sesame grey granite processing is a commonly seen stone material in our daily life. However, after long-term use, it may accumulate stains. How can we make it look new again? Don't miss this introduction! When laying sesame grey granite flooring, what should be noted? Most often, cement mortar is used for laying, but there are still a few points to consider. What aspects should be paid attention to?

(1) Clean the surface dust thoroughly and apply a waterproofing treatment. Mix 5kg of a product similar to "Waterproof Magic" with water to achieve a thin paste consistency, which is sufficient for 40m². Apply it once with a brush on the ground, and it's ready for construction after 2 hours.

(2) Mix Mortar. Compose a semi-212 mortar by blending 325-grade alkali cement with medium to coarse sand in a ratio of 1:3. The sand should contain less than 3% mud. The moisture level should be just right for the sand to form a ball when squeezed in your hand, but should disperse when thrown onto the ground.

(3) Initially, lay the stone flat and level, using a rubber mallet to gently tap it into place; then lift the stone to inspect the mortar surface. Fill in any uneven or loose areas; pour plain cement slurry onto the flat surface. The consistency should be moderate, allowing the trowel to lift and spread easily. The thickness of the plain cement slurry should be between 4-6mm. Place the stone flat again, ensuring the stone cannot be flipped or turned at this point. Lay it back in its original position and use the rubber mallet to firmly secure it. Finally, the stone should reach the marked and plumb line positions.

(4) Inspect flatness and straightness using leveling tools and plumb bobs. Proceed to lay the stones in sequence following this method, and repeat the process for the stones.

(5) Clean up excess mortar, scattered debris, and fine dust; set up barriers for maintenance. Watering for curing should be done 2 hours after hot weather and 4 hours after cold weather. The surface can be used after 7-10 days.
