Pressure Sealing refers to a method of stopping leaks in pipes and storage tanks at any pressure above atmospheric pressure, where the medium stored or transported is escaping due to corrosion, perforation, dripping, leakage, or human damage. It involves stopping the leak without stopping the flow or emptying the tank during the process of medium splashing inside, often using operations that produce sparks such as electric welding or electric grinding wheels, as the term "pressure sealing" does not imply no fire. However, during actual sealing, flammable and explosive materials are often encountered, which cannot generate any sparks. Therefore, in China, "pressure sealing" has generally been changed to "no-fire pressure sealing" for clarity. Despite the popular simplification to "pressure sealing," today it is widely understood as "no-fire pressure sealing" in the minds of people. Since the pressure sealing industry lacks standardization, there are various names for it. Most people believe that pressure sealing is a type of injection sealing, but actually, injection sealing is just one technical process within pressure sealing technology. This technique is limited to straight pipes, and is ineffective on fittings, elbows, reducers, flanges, or large storage tanks, etc.
