PSP Steel-Plastic Composite Pressure Pipe [1] The PSP steel-plastic composite pressure pipe is a material made by fusing a steel pipe as the intermediate layer with polypropylene material for both the inner and outer layers, using a specialized hot melt adhesive. It is formed into a single pipe by the extrusion molding method. Its English name is plastic-steel-plastic composite pressure pipe, abbreviated as PSP pipe. The PSP steel-plastic composite pressure pipe is available in expanded-socket connections, double hot melt transition connections, and intelligent electromagnetic induction double hot melt, with the intelligent electromagnetic induction double hot melt connection abbreviated as "electromagnetic connection." The abbreviation for this pipe material is PSP steel-plastic composite pipe. Compared to plastic pipes, it has high pressure-bearing capacity, strong impact resistance, and features such as corrosion resistance, smooth inner walls, resistance to chemical corrosion, non-pollution, low fluid resistance, non-scaling, non-growth of microorganisms, and fluid not subject to secondary pollution, with a service life of up to 50 years. This pipe material overcomes the shortcomings of steel pipes, such as easy rusting, pollution, weightiness, short service life, and the defects of plastic pipes, such as low strength, high expansion, and easy deformation, while also having the common advantages of both steel and plastic pipes, such as good oxygen isolation, high rigidity, high strength, and ease of detection for buried pipes.

Performance Features:

The complete steel tube layer serves as the main pressure-bearing layer for the pipe body, thus the pressure-bearing capacity of the pipe material is unaffected by the performance changes of the plastic layer.

2. Offers higher strength, rigidity, and impact resistance compared to plastic piping, featuring similar low thermal expansion coefficients and creep resistance to steel pipes. The tensile strength is 7-8 times that of pure plastic pipes, and buried pipes can withstand external pressures far exceeding those of pure plastic pipes.

3. Features traceability. As the intermediate steel tube layer serves as a complete pressure-bearing layer, it can be traced using a magnetic metal detector, eliminating the need for additional tracking or protective markers. This prevents excavation-related damage, greatly facilitating emergency repairs and maintenance.

4. Strong anti-corrosion ability. Both the inner and outer shells are made of PE or PPR, which are insoluble in any solvent and have stable chemical properties. At room temperature, they can withstand erosion from various acidic, alkaline, and salt solutions. When buried underground, no additional anti-corrosion measures are needed for the pipes. Complying with GB50268 installation requirements, only local anti-corrosion measures at the flange joints are necessary, saving a significant amount of installation time and costs.

5. Expanding joints and double hot-melt, press-fit pipe fittings correspond to different sizes of diameters, offering excellent sealing properties, resistance to pull-out, ease of installation, and also possess the adaptability to various deformations of pipe materials and pipelines.
