High Precision Cold Drawn Steel Tubes

Cold drawn steel pipes undergo plastic deformation through a mold of certain shape and size under the action of force. The drawing methods in production can be roughly divided into three types: reducing the inner diameter, reducing the outer wall, and reducing the inner wall. During the cold drawing process, the steel pipes are subjected to corresponding deformation under the action of pulling force, normal force, and friction force. Most of the deformation processes involve three stages: reducing the inner diameter, reducing the wall thickness, and determining the diameter. Deformation zones within the pipes generate corresponding stresses, with axial tensile stress and radial and hoop compressive stress. During the drawing process, the metal is in a state of one tensile and two compressive stresses, which is the fundamental mechanical characteristic of the cold drawing process.
