Fiberglass desulfurization towers are waste gas purification equipment primarily made of fiberglass, featuring lightweight, easy installation, transportation, and repair. They offer high purification efficiency, compact structure, small land occupation, excellent corrosion and aging resistance. Fiberglass desulfurization towers are suitable for treating acidic mist waste gases from industries such as steel, chemicals, machinery, electronics, surface treatment, electroplating, etc., as well as for lead and mercury-containing waste gases. The boiler desulfurization tower is designed reasonably, ensuring sufficient reaction contact time, low resistance, and good gas-liquid contact surface. The gas-liquid ratio is optimized at 9-1 for high absorption efficiency, significantly enhancing purification efficiency. Additionally, the spray cross-arrangement, due to the low wind speed inside the tower, contributes to the overall efficiency. Large desulfurization units used for flue gas desulfurization in coal-fired power plants are called fiberglass desulfurization towers, while small desulfurization and dust removal units used for coal-fired industrial boilers and kilns are often referred to as desulfurization and dust removal units. In desulfurization towers and dust removal units, alkaline liquid washing is used to chemically absorb SO2 from the flue gas. To enhance the absorption process, improve desulfurization efficiency, and reduce equipment investment and operating costs, the fiberglass desulfurization tower should meet the following basic requirements: (a) Large contact area and a certain contact time between gas and liquid; (b) Strong disturbance between gas and liquid, low resistance to absorption, high absorption efficiency for SO2; (c) Stable operation with appropriate operational flexibility; (d) Low pressure drop when gas flow passes through; (e) Simple structure, easy to manufacture and maintain, low cost, and long service life; (f) Non-scaling, non-blocking, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant; (g) Low energy consumption, no secondary pollution.
