Fire doors are doors that, within a specified time frame, meet the requirements for fire resistance, integrity, and insulation. They are installed in fire compartments, emergency stairwells, vertical shafts, and other fire-resistant partitioning elements. Fire door categories are divided into: - By material: Steel insulated fire doors; Wooden insulated fire doors; Steel-wood insulated fire doors; Insulated fire doors of other materials. - By fire resistance rating and insulation performance:

Grade A fire doors must not be less than 1.5 hours.

Grade B fire-resistant doors must be no less than 1 hour.

Grade C fire doors are not less than 0.5 hours.

By closure characteristics: Normally Closed Fire Doors; Normally Open Fire Doors.
