Fire-resistant windows refer to windows that, along with their frames, can meet the requirements for fire resistance stability and integrity within a specified time period. They should be used on the exterior walls of two buildings where the fire separation distance is insufficient, or between spaces separated by fire partitions, when light and ventilation are needed.

Fireproof Window Categories:
Fixed fire window: A fire window without an operable sash.

Operable fire window: A fire-resistant window with an opening sash and a control mechanism for the sash operation.

Insulating Fireproof Windows (Type A): Fireproof windows that meet both fire resistance integrity and insulating requirements within the specified time.

Fire-resistant windows are made of steel, available in two grades: Class A (fire resistance of 1.20h) and Class B (fire resistance of 0.90h).

Fire-resistant windows are primarily used in fire walls of high-rise buildings, requiring the use of Class A fire-resistant windows that can close automatically.

When the horizontal distance between doors and windows near both sides of the fire-resistant wall is less than 2 meters, Class B fire-resistant windows should be used.

In addition to residential buildings, kitchens in other structures should be equipped with Class B fire-resistant windows.

In doors of first and second-grade fire-resistant buildings, windows should be installed with Class B fire-resistant windows when openings are made in the lobby partition walls.
