Fire-resistant windows refer to windows, including their frames, that can meet the requirements for fire resistance stability and integrity within a specified time period. When there is a lack of fire separation between the exterior walls of two buildings or between spaces separated by fire walls, and there is a need for lighting and ventilation, fire-resistant windows should be used.

Fire-resistant window classifications:
Fixed Fire Window: A fire window without operable sashes.

Operable fire window: A fire window with an operable sash and equipped with a control device for opening and closing the sash.

Insulating Fire Windows (Type A): Fire-resistant windows that meet both the integrity and insulating requirements within a specified time.

Fire-resistant windows are made of steel, available in two grades: Grade A (with a fire resistance of 1.20 hours) and Grade B (with a fire resistance of 0.90 hours).

Fire-resistant windows are mainly used in fire walls of high-rise buildings, and it is required to use Class A fire-resistant windows that can close automatically.

When the horizontal distance between doors and windows near both sides of the firewall is less than 2 meters, Class B fire-resistant windows should be used.

In addition to residential buildings, kitchens in other structures should be equipped with Class B fire-resistant windows.

One and two-grade fire-resistant building vestibule partition walls should use B-grade fire-resistant windows when openings are made for windows.
